In short

What does the Store Health Score do?

A Shopify store health check scores the parts of a store that decide sales: speed, conversion, trust, search visibility, retention and tracking. Answer each question with a tick for yes. You get a score for every area and an overall score, and the lowest areas are listed as priorities with links to the help that fixes them.

1. How to use this store health score?

  1. 1Tick every statement that is true for your store today.
  2. 2Read your overall score and the score for each area.
  3. 3Start with the lowest-scoring area, and use the links to see how to fix it.

2. How is the score worked out?

  • Area score = ticked items ÷ items in the area
  • Overall score = ticked items ÷ all items
  • Below 50%: needs work. 50 to 79%: solid, with gaps. 80% and above: healthy.
Example

If you tick 12 of 17 items your overall score is 71%, which is solid with gaps. If Retention scores 0% because no flows are running, that is your first priority, because email and SMS flows recover sales you have already paid to attract.

3. Who should use this tool?

  • Stores with traffic that are not converting as well as they should.
  • Owners who have not audited their store for a year or more.
  • Anyone deciding where to spend their next hour or dollar.
FAQ

Store Health Score: frequently asked questions

How often should I check my store’s health?

A quick check every quarter is a good habit, and after any big change such as a redesign, a new theme or new apps.

Is this a technical audit?

No. It is a quick self-check that points you at the right areas. A full audit reviews your real data, pages and tracking in detail.

What score should I aim for?

Aim to close every gap that applies to your store. Some items may not matter for your business, so use the score as a guide, not a grade.

Can you audit my store properly?

Yes. We offer a full store and funnel audit with a prioritised list of what to fix first.
