2. How is the print on demand profit calculator calculated?
- Order total = price + shipping charged
- Fees = order total × fee % + fixed fee
- Refund loss = order total × refund %
- Profit per order = order total − base cost − shipping paid − ad cost − fees − refund loss
- Margin = profit ÷ order total
A $32 item with $5 charged for shipping gives a $37 order. The print partner charges $13 for the item and $5.50 for shipping, ads cost $6, fees are $1.37 and refunds cost $0.74, so profit is $10.39 per order, a 28.1% margin, or about $1,558 a month at 150 orders.

How much profit should I make per print on demand order?
